How to Find Adult Web Hosting

I’ve realized that, even though I have many links to my recommended adult web hosting providers on iStartaPornSite.com, there are some choices you have to make once you get to these sites that may not make sense to everyone. For instance, you may be asking yourself what adult hosting package should I choose? Or why can’t I do a better domain search on these sites.

Here’s my definitive guide for buying adult web hosting that will fit your needs, budget and anything else you need it to fit!

1. Find a Domain Name

For this, we’re going to use Go Daddy. We’re not going to buy our domain or hosting here. Just search. These guys have a great domain search tool, but their hosting is terrible AND they don’t offer adult web hosting.

Use the Google Keyword tool to find a number of exact match keywords in your niche. Then export them as text and paste them into the Go Daddy bulk domain tool. This will spit out a number of options for you.

Pick one.

The time for hesitation is over. Pick a domain, copy it and get ready for step 2.

2. Choose Your Web Hosting Company

Armed with our available domain name we’re going to go straight to the web hosting site and buy our hosting. Don’t delay on this step, as you may lose the domain name. I’m not certain, but once you’ve done a search on a domain name it’s possible it could be poached by another party. I’ve seen this happen once.

I recommend 1 hosting company. You can search around the web for others, but you’re not going to find an adult friendly host that’s cheaper than this. They have incredibly quick free support too. 3. Choose Your Package

Here’s where the most questions come in! Here is your answer:

Choose the Basic Plan at the 12 Month Price.

Don’t worry too much about your choice here, you can always upgrade easily so start low and move up if you need to.

4. Enter Your Domain Name

When registering with Cirtex click the radio button beside “I want to register a new domain name for the website“. Then paste the domain you’ve chosen into the field beside “www.”. Then choose your TLD or domain extension (.com, .net, etc).

5. Confirm your Domain Name

Just confirm your domain name before proceeding.

6. Customize your Plan

You can select a longer payment term to get a lower monthly rate. You can choose any option, but the 1 year price seems fine to me. Don’t choose any other options. You don’t need anything else at this stage!

7. Enter Your Payment Information.

Enter your payment information and create your new adult web hosting account. That’s it. Your hosting will be set up automatically and you will receive an email with information on how to access cpanel, where you can install word press and start building your pornsite!

By represent, I mean reinforce the subject matter of your website.

A good website design will communicate to visitors that they are in the right place as soon as they arrive. This is the part that most people think about when they think design. This is the colours, the patterns, the imagery, the logo. This is generally he process of dolling up your site to look prettier than a twenty dollar whore.

Be User Friendly

Your design is the only thing that’s gonna help your visitors find their way around your website. This means that it needs to be easy to use. Your visitors are probably at your site to watch videos. You need to make it easy to find the ones they want to watch. This means highly visible category links, suggested next videos easy search etc. The easier it is for them to find videos they like, the longer their going to stick around and the longer you have to try and convert them.

The Absolute Easiest Adult Affiliate Program to Start With

When I first stated out I had a bit of trouble finding an adult affiliate program that would actually accept me. I went to some of the big affiliate websites out there in search of content. I set up my ICQ address, registered, verified and then received a number of rejection letters.

Turns out that there are quite a few adult affiliate programs out there that will not accept your application for a number of reasons:

They want you to prove that you are using other affiliate programs and have seen success with them.
They want to see that you are a functioning site that already has a whole bunch of pron content on your site.

Since you can’t get any content without an affiliate content provider AND you can’t get registered with an affiliate unless you have content and are having success working with your affiliates this turns into a “chicken or the egg” situation very quickly!

Step 3b – Connect your Domain to your Hosting Account (Update your DNS)

This one may be a little obvious for some people, so I’ll keep it short. If anyone needs more information on this please leave a comment and I will help!

In order for the domain name you just registered to point to the web hosting account you just signed up for you have to update your DNS (domain name server information) with your domain registrar.

When you purchase hosting, you will receive a confirmation email with all of your new passwords and account information. Look in this email and find where it says:
NAMESERVER DNS INFORMATION

With two we addresses listed underneath:

Nameserver 1: ns75.cirtexhosting.com (67.159.54.66)
Nameserver 2: ns76.cirtexhosting.com (67.159.54.67)

Copy the the ns75.cirtexhosting.com part, login to your domain registrar and update the nameserver information for your domain with this information.

It should also be mentioned that you can skip this step if you register your domain at the same time that you purchase your hosting. This is possible at Citrex as well.

Web hosting is like leasing a space on a computer where the files of your website will actually reside. The files sit on this computer or server and can be Accessed by people browsing the web. Every time someone visits your adult web site they download these files from this one server and display them in their browser.

Some people set up servers in their homes and offices, but for your start up porn site it makes way more sense, time and money wise, to get web hosting from a company who does this as their business. A good web hosting company will have 3 things that you’ll need as you build and maintain your new adult web site.

Infrastructure – they will have servers and facilities to house them, not to mention a dedicated connection to the internet suitable to host a website that receives a lot of traffic.
Support – web servers are very complex machines and far from not perfect, sooner or later you’ll run into an issue that you can’t solve. A good web host will have a 24 hour support service that can respond to your requests and get you back up and running when problems arise.
Technology – If you’re planning on steaming video from your server, which you probably are, there is certain software that must be installed on your adult web host that will make this run smoothly. You want to get a server that can accommodate this.
Allows Adult Content – OK, I know I said 3, but, as things go, I forgot about the most important, most obvious point. You must get a web host that allows adult content to be hosted on their machines. If you put a bunch of adult content on a machine that doesn’t allow this, they will delete your account, and your website. AND they will keep you money! So read the terms of use for any web host you choose. OR just pick the one that I use.

So, rather than search all over the web for a server that fits your needs you could take my recommendation and use Citrix.

So you love porn and want to have a go at making a living from it. In my opinion the easiest way to break into the porn industry is with a porn web site. Let’s talk about how we can start a porn website!
